Btw to explain myself about Batman, I don't think it's bad, it's just overrated! The traversing isn't as intuitive as other games out there, there's too many gargoyles everywhere to hook on. Assassin's Creed and Uncharted has far better traversing, period (and they're not super heroes). Also the combat is fine, I think it's alright, but so was the combat in Wind Waker or Assassin's Creed 2+. It's good but it's not great. Batman is a mighty fine looking game, that plays good, and has a good story. It's definitely a WAY above average game, just overrated, for me, one man's opinion.

This was my first experience listening to this show.. and.. Kurbzz put down the controller when you're on the show!! You sound super distracted when you're speaking! lol
Edit: Getting to Matt's rant about Batman... The reason why people downplay things like Ziplining in Just Cause or repetitive combat in Assassins Creed is because of the nature of the IP's.
Zipline works in Batman because the of the fantastical nature of the Universe. There's Supervillians and Super Heroes in the DC Universe.. Ziplining makes sense. Just Cause takes place in a much more realistic Universe so it doesn't fit so well.
Likewise.. Batman's fighting style is rooted in reality. There's only so many ways to Punch and Kick. Meanwhile AC's premise is that you're a worldly Assassin.. of course in AC2 you're growing Ezio's character but to have so few killing styles is a bit of a weakness.
It's not the most valid complaint.. but it makes a sort of sense when put into context.

Hey welcome Jest... And yeah I get why people like Batman, the character and the game. I love Batman, everything from the 90s cartoon to the NES game to movies, even the live action series. It's just not my favourite game and I think it's blown out of proportion. For how "simple" the game is, it sure has a tough time trying to figure out what you're actually trying to do. Sometimes you just wanna jump over a rail can't, but it can definitely let me fall down something I just spent 4 minutes climbing up. And the platforming isn't that great, I dunno man, Uncharted does it better and it's way more complex in nature than Batman: AA. Look just to shut up the shit talkers, I will finish Batman AA k? Then I will finish Assassin's Creed 2 also, but all this after Battlefield 3.

At the end of the day though it's the best Batman Game(s) ever made. Sure it's not one of the greatest games ever created but you Multiply the popularity of the IP and the fact that it doesn't actually have any glaring in your face "this sucks ass" flaws and it gets more positive than it does negative.
But I understand your position on it. I have similar feelings about a lot of things.
